in the real assets and real economy sectors, with a particular focus in Latin America.
Pablo Sangrá
Managing Partner
Currently acts as an independent entrepreneur and sits on the management board of several companies, including Sono/Steinhauser (a fruit juice conglomerate with production site in Ghana and commercial offices in USA and Europe) and Pesantar (leading catcher processor and exporter of premium fish in Argentina).
Prior to the entrepeneurship ventures, Pablo collected 25 years international carreer in the Oil and Gas industry. He worked for YPF, Repsol and Trafigura in senior roles both in Europe and South America.
Right now Pablo is engaged and holds equity investments in Pesantar (leading seafood company in Argentina), San Isidro and Porvenir (seafood processors and exporters based in Chile), and Sono International.
From the Rocha Capital platform, Pablo also invests and advises third parties in private equity, real estate and venture capital opportunities across South America.
Pablo has lived and worked extensively in North America, Europe and South AmericaArgentina, Chile, London, Switzerland and Uruguay, and holds an MBA from New York University, Stern School of Business and an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad Catolica Argentina.
Federico Fuchs
Managing Partner
Experienced entrepreneur, investor and executive. Co-founder, former Board Member and CFO of Despegar.com (recently listed in the NYSE: DESP), one the most successful start-ups in Latin America with over three billion dollars in annual gross sales and close to 2800 employees.
Federico was responsible for structuring Despegar's funding rounds that totaled in excess of US$ 35 Million and allowed the company to thrive. In addition, he negotiated the acquisition of its main competitor at the time, led strategic planning and managed the relationship with investors in the first stages of the company.
Currently, Mr. Fuchs is actively involved and holds equity investments in several privately owned companies: San Isidro (leading processor and exporter of premium food in Chile), Pesantar (leading seafood company in Argentina), and Los Angeles (agribusiness company in Argentina) amongst others. He also invests and advises third parties in real estate, debt and venture capital opportunities across Latin America.
Previously, Federico had extensive experience working with top-tier multinational companies in the US, Latin America and Europe, having been responsible for P&Ls in excess of US$ 300 Million.
Mr. Fuchs received an MBA from MIT Sloan and graduated Magna Cum Laude in Economics from Universidad de San Andres in Argentina.
